Industrial photographer Stephen Mallon has a collection of extraordinary salvage work he photographed of US Airways Flight 1549, which successfully ditched in the Hudson River under the hands of Capt. Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger following the ingestion of birds in the engines. Like aphotoeditor said, “these salvage photos are fantastic.” I agree. Excellent visual storytelling with a cinematic eye.
